Bigger isn't always better. A multitude of women suffer from physical and emotional discomfort because of the size and weight of their breasts. Oversized breasts can cause your bra straps to cut into your shoulders, and you can experience back, shoulder and neck pain, not to mention feelings of extreme self-consciousness.

Fortunately, breast reduction surgery can provide relief from associated physical symptoms and improve the look and position of your breasts.

The Procedure
With a procedure called reduction mammaplasty we can reduce the size of your breasts, alleviating physical discomfort and achieving a more balanced-looking figure.

Performed as an outpatient procedure, under general anesthesia, breast reduction involves a large incision and removal of excess glandular tissue, fat and skin. The nipple and areola are also moved into a new, higher position. The surgery itself is quite involved and does present some risks; however, most patients are very satisfied with the outcome.

Patient Imaging Software is used to guide patients from their current appearance to a representative post-operative outcome.

Recovery
During recovery there will be restrictions on activity and you will be required to wear a surgical bra for several weeks. Since the procedure is reconstructive in nature there may be some scarring. Most patients can return to work within 7-10 days of surgery and return to normal activity within 4-6 weeks.
