A Nose to Fit Your Face
If you feel your nose doesn't fit quite fit your face, you may be considering rhinoplasty. It's a common cosmetic procedure to modify the shape or size of your nose. Whether you want to remove a bump, narrow the bridge, or change your nostril size, rhinoplasty can help.

Rhinoplasty is a popular procedure with all age groups. In teenagers it can be done once the facial bones have stopped growing, which is usually by 14 in girls and 17 in boys.

The Procedure
Through small incisions made inside the nostrils, we can re-contour your nasal profile to create a natural-looking nose that's in balance with your other facial features. The bone and cartilage are sculpted and repositioned during the procedure and in most cases the incisions are not visible. If you elect to have your nostrils or base of your nose narrowed, incisions can be hidden in the natural crease where the nostril joins the cheek.

During the procedure, we can also correct problems to the internal nasal structure that may be causing difficulty in breathing such as a deviated septum or enlarged turbinates. Rhinoplasty is performed as an outpatient procedure and most patients can return home the same day.

Patient Imaging Software is used to guide patients from their current appearance to a representative post-operative outcome.

Recovery
During your recovery you will probably wear a splint for seven days to protect your nose. Soreness, bruising and swelling around the eyes are not uncommon after surgery, and many patients experience a little bleeding during the first day. Most discoloration will disappear within a week although it may take several weeks for the swelling to subside. Patients can return to work as soon as they like and resume full activity within two weeks. Through regular follow-up visits we will monitor your progress and ensure that you are healing properly.
