Dr. Andrew Smith is a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon and member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS). Dr. Smith specializes in cosmetic plastic surgery and breast reconstruction. Dr. Smith is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. While a chief resident at UCLA, Dr. Smith was involved in the much-publicized separation of the conjoined Guatemalan twins. The nearly 24-hour long surgery resulted in a successful separation and has been a model for several future separation surgeries. Media coverage of this monumental event was captured on the Today show, Good Morning America, and the front page of the New York and LA Times. He is on staff at multiple hospitals including Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, Irvine Regional Medical Center, and Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center. Outpatient surgeries are performed at Laguna Hills Surgery Center. He currently is an active member of the breast center at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center and Irvine Medical Center. Conlan, First Surgical Assistant to Dr. Kemsley, consults on surgical
procedures and provides pre- and post-operative counseling to Dr. Kemsley’s
patients. She works with the patients alongside the doctor from the pre-op
evaluation to the operating room and follow-up visits. |
