Dr. Andrew Smith is a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon and member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS). Dr. Smith specializes in cosmetic plastic surgery and breast reconstruction.

Dr. Smith trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the prestigious University of California at Los Angeles, well regarded as one of the premiere plastic surgery programs in the country. He trained with many well-respected plastic surgeons in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills including several members of the extreme makeover team.

While a chief resident at UCLA, Dr. Smith was involved in the much-publicized separation of the conjoined Guatemalan twins. The nearly 24-hour long surgery resulted in a successful separation and has been a model for several future separation surgeries. Media coverage of this monumental event was captured on the Today show, Good Morning America, and the front page of the New York and LA Times.

He is on staff at multiple hospitals including Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, Irvine Regional Medical Center, and Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center. Outpatient surgeries are performed at Laguna Hills Surgery Center. He currently is an active member of the breast center at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center and Irvine Medical Center.

Lynn Conlan, First Surgical Assistant to Dr. Kemsley, consults on surgical procedures and provides pre- and post-operative counseling to Dr. Kemsley’s patients. She works with the patients alongside the doctor from the pre-op evaluation to the operating room and follow-up visits.

Her dedication to helping people began with her training and operating room internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. After working at Kaiser Permanente Medical Group as a nurse in a surgical and clinical setting, Lynn met Dr. Kemsley. He was with a plastic surgery group at that time and she had the opportunity to work with several doctors. It was during that period Lynn aligned herself with Dr. Kemsley because of the meticulous care he gave his patients before, during and especially after surgery.

Through experience in various surgical settings, Lynn prefers working in cosmetic surgery because the patients she works with are there by choice. Lynn describes Dr. Kemsley’s office as a place where she derives great satisfaction from helping people obtain their desires. She relishes the opportunity to provide both medical information and emotional support to each individual. “Our goal is to help our patients attain the physical image they’ve always envisioned .”
